I always liked the costumes in SyFy's Dune miniseries, because they managed to be outrageous and futuristic and such without (usually) getting ridiculous.
Also, I really appreciated the thought process that went into designing the different races and cultures in LotR, and the various tribes in Black Panther.
On the other hand, I loathe most of the costumes in the 2019 because they manage to both a) be really inaccurate and b) tell you nothing about the characters who wear them (except Jo's costumes). I would accept inaccuracy if it helped modern audiences "get" the character, and I would accept something that didn't help audiences "get" the character if it was period accurate, but Little Women did neither. And then it got an Oscar for best costume. There were several Oscar-worthy things in that movie, but the fricking costumes were NOT part of them!
