I have written dozens of comic songs from when I was performing 6 nights a week in various theaters, cabarets, colleges, etc.
Recently another Jeeves and Wooster fan started writing a "Joostical". I've been kicking around a rewrite of "Bill" from Showboat (lyrics co-written by P.G. Wodehouse) called "Just My Jeeves". And perhaps a reprise by Jeeves, "Just My Sir". I love writing lyrics!
I adore musicals and have probably seen 99% of all musicals made before 1960.
Addendum: I just finished a project on Tumblr where I tracked down all of the songs referenced in the TV show and dug up the original recordings from the 1920s. Then I combed through "Thank You Jeeves" (the novel) and dug up the songs mentioned in the book where he plays the banjolele!
