I love musicals, many musicals; I've been in quite a few, as I was a member of an amateur theatre group for many years, and I've seen a bunch more. I am firmly of the opinion that Guys and Dolls is the best musical ever written, and Sweeney Todd is in second place. I had an idea for fitting my popslash boys into the plot of Guys and Dolls which I never wrote; I am also firmly convinced that the crew of the Enterprise-D (ST:TNG, Season 2) would fit *perfectly* into The Pirates of Penzance.
I am, or, perhaps I should say, I have been, in musical fandoms, as I found LiveJournal through popslash, and remain captivated by my Nsync boys, Backstreet and, rather later, Adam Lambert. In fact, I've even written a story that fits the Backstreet Boys into The Full Monty—the stage musical more than the original film. It still pleases me, not least because somebody made a trailer for the story.
