Ah, good point. Yes, since wordcount is part of what is stored in my database, I can *very* easily generate a list of "all fics under 1k" or "fic over 20k", etc. I did that, in fact, for the theme month on recthething where one week had a theme of under 1k and another had longfic (I went with over 20k as a minimum, though that's not all that long to me, lol). I just wasn't sure whether *sorting* by length (after grouping by pairing) made the most sense or not. (But it's extremely easy to sort by anything I have saved in the db - it's just a minor tweak in the SQL for the query, telling which order to put things in and how to sort.) Perhaps I will repost those later at some point to sort by length! It would make it easier for someone wanting just a short little fic for their favorite ship (or who wanted the longest shippy fic they could find).
