Description: We want to invite you to Budapest, the city our auction is named after. This auction is named after a city where Natasha Romanov found family. After the Budapest where she took back control over her story. Fandom has been just like Budapest for us in that regard. The Budapest where us, Hungarian queer artists have found our community and told our stories. That’s the place we are inviting you to with this auction.
Budapest is not an utopia. Fandom is not an utopia either.
With this event, we aspire to show how beautiful Eastern European queerness can be. How our community takes care of our own. We aim to make a stand against a hostile government. Therefore, this invitation is for supporting the work that helps hungarian queer communities, children and youth. For actively fostering this community. For creating and sharing joyful queer stories!
This auction is our stand against a hostile government. However, this auction is not for the government. It is for us, our very queer, very fannish community. Fandom has the power to foster communities. It has the power to give voice to people. This is what fandom means for us and this is what this auction is about.
Leírás: Hadd invitáljunk meg titeket Budapestre, a városba amely az aukciónk nevét is adta. A városba, ahol Natasha Romanov családra talált. Budapestre, ahol újra átvette az irányítást a saját története felett. A fandom olyan számunkra, mint Budapest volt neki: egy hely, ahol mi, meleg magyar művészek megtaláltuk a közösségünket és elmondjuk a történetünket. Ide invitálunk most ezzel az aukcióval.
Budapest nem egy utópia. A fandom sem utópia.
Ezzel az eseménnyel szeretnénk megmutatni, hogy milyen gyönyörűek tudnak lenni a kelet-európai queerek. Azt, hogy a közösségünk gondoskodik a tagjairól. A célunk, hogy felkeljünk egy ellenséges kormánnyal szemben. Ezért ez a meghívó arra szól, hogy támogassuk a magyar queer közösségekért, gyerekekért és fiatalokért munkálkodókat. Arra, hogy aktívan tápláljuk ezt a közösséget. Az alkotásra és az örömteli queer történetek megosztására!
Ez az aukció a mi lépésünk egy ellenséges kormánnyal szemben. De ez az aukció nem a kormányért van. Ez értünk van, a mi nagyon queer, mélyen rajongói közösségünkért. A fandomnak megvan az ereje, hogy táplálja a közösségeket. Megvan az ereje, hogy hangot adjon az embereknek. Nekünk ezt jelenti a fandom, és erről szól ez az aukció.
