Be A Goldfish 2026: 1 Jan to 28 Feb 2026

Description: A multifandom, multimedia, make-a-thon! Contributors are encouraged to share multiple works throughout (though not required!), as well as leave many comments on any and all fanworks shared throughout.

There are no sign-ups, check-ins, or discord servers. This is all very low-stakes, go-at-your-own-pace fun. For anyone interested in a bit of structure, there will be a completely optional punch card that you can mark off weekly if you leave a comment on a work or share one of your own. Additionally, we have provided an optional series of weekly prompts in the hopes of inspiring you to experiment creatively and find new fannish heights!

All fandoms are allowed: From megafandoms like Star Trek and Tolkien to that one canceled-too-soon series from the 80s that only you and your closest mutual know about because you're the one who told them about it in the first place, everything that has ever given you that fannish itch is both allowed and highly encouraged (RPF included).

All mediums are allowed: fic, art, meta, web weaves, gifs, playlists, food, fiber or paper crafts, etc. Very multi, very media, very wow!

All text-based entries must be 1,000 words or less, hence the micro aspect of this “bang.” We’re especially encouraging things like drabbles, poetry, ficlets, and of course, non-fic fanworks.

moodthemeinayear is finishing its second break period and about to enter the next leg of the suggested schedule! If you've ever wanted to create your own custom mood theme but found the process too daunting, Mood Theme in a Year helps make it more approachable with three suggested moods to complete images for per week, as well as regular breaks. Anyone is allowed to join at any time, and to start with any mood they like, not just what the suggested schedule lists for a given week.

summerofthe69 is running again this year! Open to all fandoms and to original work, Summer of the 69 is a festival dedicated to works featuring the sexual position. Suggestions for this year's weekly themes are now open, and will remain so until the end of April, and a poll to finalize the themes will run shortly after. The fest itself runs from June 9th to September 6th, to hit 6/9 in both common date formats. Come check it out!

Fandom Gift Basket (

fandomgiftbasket) is a multifandom fest where people sign up with information about what they want (fandoms, mediums, characters/relationships, prompts) and others give it to them. The goal is for everyone who signed up with at least three fandoms to receive at least two gifts in their basket! This hasn't been accomplished yet, so the revealing of the fest has been delayed until the baskets listed below have been filled. If any of the requests below look like something you could make, please consider doing so!

The current deadline is September 30th 11:59pm UTC with reveals next day at noon (if there's another delay, the time will be moved to next week). Check out this google spreadsheet for the current number of gifts per person and also a list of every request in this fest round. The minimums are 100 words for fic, 100x100 pixels for graphics or icons (unless specified otherwise), a small doodle for art, and equivalents for anything else. All gifts must be complete at the time of posting, in a requested fandom, with requested characters/relationships, in a requested medium, and avoid all DNWs. (Read the full rules here.)

Description: A 镇魂 | Guardian fandom multimedia exchange covering the drama, the novel and RPF. Participants can offer and/or request fanfic, fanart, icons, vids, podfic, meta, a remix of an existing fanwork, or fanart for an existing fanwork. Or any combination of the above!

This is a reverse exchange with a two-part sign-up process: first you make your offer, saying what you like to create, then you choose three anonymised offers from the list and make your requests. (Only one of your requests will be assigned.)
