Do you have any physical memorabilia for your favorite fandoms? Merch, crafts, scrapbooks, print-outs, etc.? What's your favorite?

[personal profile] stellar_dust and I just reduced the collection of Star Wars junk by 1/2 for about the fourth time (which tells you how much we started with!) At this point it's down to basically books, action figures, micro-machines, and a few other old favorites. Which is also how it started, so that's pretty satisfying!

I have some random Heroclix and action figures, and a few dolls friends gave me (of Lt. Uhura, Dr. Martha Jones, and an OC), as well as many (some would say too many) books. I LOVE making of books and The Art Of books.

For me it is books, too. For example almost all the Hobbit Making of/Artbooks about costumes, weaponry etc. I also own a book by the lead writer of the new Doctor Who where he talks about reviving the classic series.

I don't have as much as some people I know but I have enough that no-one coming into my living room would doubt that a sci-fi geek lived there! I love the popfunko figurines and I have a small collection of some of my favourite characters from them - there are Marvel characters guarding my comics & graphic novels, while a couple of the DC gals guard my un-watched DVD pile. And...I have the car from Ghosbusters in Lego! Oh and I bought an art print from one of my favourite webcomics, so I have that framed on my bedroom wall too.

I've been in Doctor Who fandom to a greater or lesser extent since I was a small child - so about thirty years now :S - so I have accumulated quite a collection over the years. Most of the older stuff has gone now - I used to scrapbook newspaper articles about the show when it was off-air, and I had some toy aliens that school friends bought me - but I still have a TARDIS teapot and a Dalek plushie that an ex-girlfriend bought me, and a quote plaque on my wall that my parents got me as a house-warming gift.

(I also have a collection of geeky t-shirts, tie-in books, coffee-table style 'art of x' books and script books...I was a film student so the line between fandom and academic interest is arguably a bit blurry here.)

My favourite though is probably my cuddly Gizmo from the Gremlins movies, he always makes me smile.

I know right? That would never do! :p

(I'm also very careful not to get Gizmo wet! :D)

Mostly books and t-shirts! Both of which can be easily filed, and don't have awkward dust-collecting bits.

I've got Doctor Who merch, some art, and also my reduced scarf. I really need to mount the pin collection and frame the poster. I've got a The Sentinel print, a signed picture and some zines. I've a Captain America purselette and some other bits and bobs.

My grandma knitted it and did not knit the whole of the pledge break awarded instructions.

Naturally, there is a hat and a pair of mittens. It's, distinctive but I can't wear it to work because I don't have a lock and key.

I have enamel pins, t-shirt, stickers for Digger from the kickstarter. I have an assortment of pop funkos from many fandoms, not all of the ones I'm strongly into (including Golden Girls and Dirty Dancing. Also Queen Liz and a corgi). I have a tiny little Moomin painting that partner brought back from Finland.

Beyond that? Things the kids have been given over the years, but even most of those have gone.

Oh! And Sesame Street and Muppets toys, and somewhere around here are Fraggle Rock books that were gifted to Eldest.

Weirdly, (almost) all of my Sesame Street merch was bought as an adult -- found a lot of interesting stuff second hand when Eldest was born, in the late 80s.

I was originally going to claim all, but some of my Little Golden books are Sesame Street ones.

I have smattering of things. A couple of action figures including one that I stole from my brother in highschool. A few t-shirts, a couple of art books.

Oh and the folks at Lady Business sent me a Hugo pin! Because I was a contributor last year when they won!

And since I'm primarily in book fandom I also have a lot physical books!

Fair, fair. (That's me getting confused by fandom meaning slightly different things in different contexts again)

And I love my Hugo pin! I was so blown away when I got it in the mail!

I do have some merchandise for my fandoms. Here's a post from last year's [community profile] sunshine_challenge, concerning fannish collections: https://mythicmistress.dreamwidth.org/52870.html The stuff pictured there isn't all of my fannish stuff- I've gotten a few more things since then, and there were plenty of items that didn't make it to that "photo shoot" so to speak. Four t-shirts along with Pokemon, Animorphs and Harry Potter merchandise. As for my favorite things? The Legend of Zelda art pieces.

Not quite fannish, but I also have overflowing bookshelves!

I have a huge Snape poster that I bought on eBay over a decade ago. I also own a Snape action figure. It was a surprise birthday gift from an online friend.

My grad school bookstore sold triangle pennants with their logo and Darth Vader, it was so bizarre I had to get one.

Yeah, they even print "[MASCOTS] EMPIRE" on it. So I assume it's something that a bunch of other schools do too, just bizarre.

I have an RHPS lunch box that I keep a few small bits of RHPS memorabilia in—a bell, a squeaky rat, my gold Janet necklace.

I also have a poster for Forbidden Zone that I got autographed by Richard Elfman. Someday I'll get it properly framed. It's been rolled up in a tube for... uh... probably on the close order of 18 years.

Harry Potter robes, sweaters, ties, the usual generic-student-cosplay stuff. A dummy book of Advanced Potion Making. I have assorted swag from cons like dog tags that say "Property of the Half-Blood Prince" and a pair-of-handcuffs keychain from an HP con called Azkatraz that was held in San Francisco.

Husband has two toy sonic screwdrivers, although tbh I bought them both for him ;)
