After recently I made a post in my journal about my first fandom, I decided to ask - how did it began to you? What was your first fandom? How did you found it? Did you start writing/drawing/reading/whatever else first? And do you look fondly on those good old days, or not so much?

Pokemon was my first real fandom, which I think I got into through being on usenet as a kid. I had an OC who was Gay's older sister, who had purple hair and was a member of Team Rocket :p I was pretty into Team Rocket. Also rivalshipping. (And honestly, my tastes haven't changed much, even if the fandoms have.) I used to make little fanshrines, which is mortifying and adorable in retrospect. I'm pretty sure these are now lost to the depths of time, although you can still find some of my early fic on ff.net /o\

Pokemon was my childhood, along with Yu-Gi-Oh and D. Gray-man (it aried on the children's channel and my parents believed anything animated was good for children), but I never wrote much about it. But I also liked Team Rocket a lot - especially James.
