Archiving from FFN

Another signal boost: tl;dr fanfiction.net has been having some technical issues and it doesn't look like the staff is actively maintaining it, so it's a good idea to download yours and others' fics if possible. What I especially want to call your attention to is the last reblog: fichub.net lets you download even multi-chapter works as an EPUB (or other formats) with one click, which is a lot better than trying to do it manually (FFN has some defenses against copy-pasting and right-click/save, presumably to prevent plagiarism). You can even use this when you're not trying to archive stuff!

Date: 2022-09-18 04:14 pm (UTC)I often do a print-to-file to create a PDF file of stuff I want to save, but that has to be done per chapter. The zipped HTML option on fic hub seems to work better for multi-chaptered stories. Download as an EPUB doesn't seem to work for me... but I'm still exploring the site and figuring it out so maybe I'm doing something wrong.
