Dream crossover!

What crossover or crossover pairing do you really really want to exist that does not have a single work on AO3?



For awhile now I have really wanted Machineries of Empire/Gideon the Ninth fic with Harrowheart Nonagesimus/Cheris Ajewen, with sword kink, and Jedao and Gideon providing unwanted subvocal commentary the whole time. At least as far as the first Ninth book, there's no *particular* reason their system couldn't be a Machineries backwater with a particularly morbid calendar - and if it was, Cheris would certainly wash up there for necromancy research at some point - so really it's basically canon that this happened.

I also still really want Good Omens crossed with The Bible According to Mark Twain, because his cosmology fits GO's well enough that I'm pretty sure Pratchett, at least, read it before writing GO. And Twain's Adam and Eve are darlings. You'd have to finesse the snake bit some, but Eve would totally have edited her diary if Crowley asked her nicely, so that can be worked out.

Okay 1) That is an amazing crossover and 2) oh no, now I need it too!

(On the subject of implausible Discworld crossovers, I did once posit a Dragaera crossover where Vimes just straight-up arrests the Cycle...)

Once I started contemplating the crossover, it was the only conclusion I could come to :)
